What this will be all about:

So, any of you who know me know that I am a pretty laid back person - someone who generally keeps to himself and doesn't want to get involved in politics.  Recently, I have been looking into the economy and the downward turn the USA has taken in the past 20 years.  It is my belief that the majority of the US population is unaware the dire straights to come.

I am going to use this blog simply as a sounding board - a way to air out all my thoughts.  It my not get many followers, but that's fine with me.  I simply want a way to be able to put the info that I have found out there and share it with people who are looking to "learn" that this country isn't what we think it is and we are not going to be the world super power for much longer.  Remember, Rome fell, it's not such an egregious statement that we could fall too...

Included in my blog will be info sources to help understand the current US Economic situation.  This will include documents and research papers (by organizations like the CRS "Congressional Research Service"), You Tube videos, documentaries to watch, audio files to listen to and anything else I feel will help open people's eyes.

  2. Well. My curiosity got the better of me. Chris a good way to understand our social changes and why our own country has been on a downfall is to understand the moral values of our past generations to our present. I can give you some examples of Occupational characteristics and strengths. Born prior to 1940's - Practical, dedicated, disciplined, quiet, not comfortable with technology. View of authority: Respectful. Born prior to 1964- Idealistic, Service oriented, good mentors, career long loyalty. View of authority: love/hate. Born prior to 1981- Computer literate, adaptable, need mentoring and frequent feedback, don't mind juggling work with family. View of authority: Unimpressed, not intimidated. Born prior to 2000 - Technologically advanced, value speed over detail, like group activities, self confident, multitaskers. View of authority: Need for teamwork, demanding, complacent.
So Chris, looking at the time lines and how changes have occurred within our society. The changes steer more towards acceptance of bad decisions without facing the consequences. Our downfall has much to do with the changes in law and how society has accepted radical changes which we viewed as inappropriate in the past to a legal right in the present. These socialistic changes has corrupted our moral and ethical standards, it has abolished the constitutional laws our country was founded on. By this happening our government is corrupt and controlling of many aspects of our daily lives. Our judicial system is failing the protections in place, and our family and religious values mean nothing anymore. We as a people have become complacent and our government has no direction. Greed and power are rampant. We as a people need to take a step back and look at each generation and the values our country held high to keep our society free, secure and protected. Sometimes taking a step back is better than hindsight. Love you...Aunt Jeannie.
